Since its inception, the Global RLI Awards has been the gold standard for recognising outstanding achievements in the retail and leisure sectors. Over the past 19 years, this prestigious event has travelled across the globe - from London and Dubai to Los Angeles and Riyadh - shining a spotlight on visionary projects, ground-breaking developments and the industry’s most forward-thinking leaders. The Global RLI Awards is not just an event; it is a celebration of the extraordinary dynamism, creativity and resilience of the retail and leisure industries. Most recently, we launched the RLI MENA Awards in Riyadh, celebrating the region’s exceptional innovation and growth. Now, as the world continues to adapt to rapidly changing markets, collaboration and recognition have never been more vital. These awards serve as a powerful catalyst for progress, innovation and inspiration.

HOW TO ENTER

Eligibility & Entry Requirements

Who Can Apply

If your project, concept, or company meets the criteria for any award category, you are eligible to apply. Submissions can also be made on behalf of clients with their approval - a contact person from the client’s team must be provided.

Language

All entries must be submitted in English.

Project Eligibility

Eligible entries include shopping centres, mixed-use developments and innovative projects that:

Opened to the public or completed refurbishment/extensions between 1 January 2024 and 21 March 2025.
For the RLI Most Anticipated Opening 2025 category, projects must be set to open in 2025.

Note: Previous Global RLI Award winners are eligible to enter again if they meet the 2025 criteria.

Entry Deadline

All nominations must be submitted by Friday, 21 March 2025.

Judging and Rulings

Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of leading industry experts.
RLI reserves the right to re-classify, re-categorise, or disqualify entries. All decisions are final.

Publishing Rights

By submitting, you grant RLI the right to publish information from your entry in RLI Magazine, news releases and promotional materials. For projects submitted on behalf of a client, prior approval is required.

Nomination Requirements

Each nomination must include:

A written editorial and pictorial PDF presentation detailing the project or company.
High-resolution images (300 dpi) provided separately for marketing purposes.

Entry Fee

Each entry costs £275 + VAT.
Payments can be made online or via bank transfer (contact awards@rli.uk.com for details).

Shortlisted Companies

Finalists must book a table of 10 for the Gala Dinner, including dinner, wine and entertainment (£2,995).
Winners are required to purchase a discounted A4 advertisement (£1,500) in the Winners Brochure. Highly Commended recipients will be invited to participate.
